Hi. I’m Mike Hopkins, founder of Norfolk Sharpening Services and a trained blade sharpener with a background in precision engineering.

 

Before starting Norfolk Sharpening Services, I spent over 20 years at Lotus Cars HQ in Hethel, Norfolk — a career that demanded absolute accuracy, technical knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail. These are the same qualities I now bring to sharpening your blades.

After completing specialist training at a professional sharpening school, I established my workshop in South Norfolk to provide a reliable, high-quality sharpening service for knives, scissors, clipper blades and more.

Whether you’re a professional or simply want your tools to perform better, I take care to treat each item with the attention it deserves. Every blade is inspected, sharpened with purpose, and tested before it leaves my hands. My engineering experience enables me to understand the finer points of blade geometry and edge retention, resulting in longer-lasting and sharper edges where it matters.
